We decided to head over to Catalina Island off the coast of Los Angeles to try and film the Black Sea Bass which live there. We had heard stories that the dive spot to see them is called Itlalian Gardens. Saturday morning came and we loaded the boat with fuel and gear and took off for the day. We first dove ship rock and decided to hit up Italian Gardens for our second dive. It worked out perfectly! As we dropped the hook we noticed bait being spooked in the kelp so we hurried to roll out of the boat. Within about 10 minutes we had our first encounter. 2 giants swam through to check us out and then a 3rd stopped by to greet us! Enjoy the video.
