Catalina Island Diving, Filmed with GoPro Hero2 with SRP Blurfix, Filter Comparison Video
This is a comparison video I made for the 3 different Blurfix Filters by Snake River Prototyping (SRP). No lights were used. I am shooting with a GoPro Hero 2 with the Blurfix flat lens housing attached. I tested different filters at different depths to see the outcome. This was all shot out of Catalina Island on 11/25/2011. Conditions were pretty great, and visibility was between 40-60 ft. This is a great fix for underwater video. The people at SRP did a great job with this. Below are the times at which different filters are tested at different depths. @ 21 sec…CY Filter On Blurfix at 45ft depth @ 4:55…….SWCY Filter on Blurfix at 45ft depth @ 10:27……SWCY Filter on Blurfix at 15 ft depth (Where this one is supposed to be used, and the colors came out awesome! The Cy filter is better used for depths below 15 ft) @12:36……Just a UV filter on the Blurfix with no color correction filter. I noticed a little loss in video quality when I exported the video. I used Adobe Premiere CS5.5 to put it together. I did no post editing to this video, other than cutting the bad parts out and putting it together, but no color correction or effects where put in.
