Not UFO’s but Catalina Island out there !
Yes, thanks to input from all of you out there, the Unidentified Floating Objects (UFO’s) have been identified ! They are San Clemente Island and Santa Catalina Island. I zoomed in on the horizon on a clear night at Carlsbad beach. With a Canon PowerShot SX210 IS with 14X zoom. That did the trick. Next up: I have to pawn the Rolls-Royce and buy a Handycam with at least a 60X digital zoom (ha ha). Never have enough zoom. I want to be able to see Arthur Godfrey strumming the ukelele on the beach at Avalon, Santa Catalina! OOPS, wrong era! Well, how about watching a resident (hopefully male) of the International Space Station shaving in front of the window? Or would that violate the laws of physics? Hmmm, I have to think about this one some more…

Made a little video of the my favorites of the last four years we we’ve been sailing “Dauntless”. She’s been a great boat. A little rough at the start….and always another project on the horizon…but when I watch this and remind myself of the places she taken us and the people she’s introduced us to….well, all I can say is she’s honestly changed my life.
